Doug's love of bluegrass began in the 50's.

Seated by the radio,he would listen to the Grand Ol' Opry.

While listening,he heard the music of the Great Bill Monroe.

This sound would influence him forever.

In the 1980's, Doug was a member of the Rideau River Grass Band. Later,he went on to become a founding member of the original Bytown Bluegrass Band.

Doug, along with Vic Chartrand and a few others, are credited with having begun the first ever Bluegrass Association in Ottawa.

Doug is an exceptionally accomplished & well respected musician and vocalist.
